Dive in!
Selected Works for the Summer Season
An online viewing room featuring art ranging from classical Modern art to postwar abstraction and contemporary painting.
The online exhibition “Dive In! Selected Works for Summer” presents a selection of works from the Galerie Henze & Ketterer program that relate to the theme of summer in various ways. These connections range from specific titles and depictions of summer scenes to associative links and are reflected in a variety of artistic media and techniques.
The selected works transport viewers to sunny landscapes, islands, and faraway places; they invite viewers to immerse themselves in the freshness of the sea, lakes, and mountain streams, or, through color, form, mood, and expression, allow viewers to create their own summery visions.
This is how artistic interpretation, personal memories, and the lightheartedness of summer life come together.
Featuring works by Eduard Bargheer, Dario Basso, Jürgen Brodwolf, Lyonel Feininger, Georg Grosz, Günther Gumpert, Karl Hartung, Erich Heckel, Alfonso Hüppi, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Emil Nolde, Max Peiffer Watenphul, Christian Rohlfs, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Bernard Schultze, Paolo Serra, Fred Thieler, Ursula, Theodor Werner, and Fritz Winter.
We hope you enjoy exploring and immersing yourself in this experience!
