We remember Eberhard W. Kornfeld

Today we remember Eberhard W. Kornfeld, who passed away yesterday, April 13, 2023, in his 100th year.

With his personality, his work and his decades-long commitment as patron of the Bernese auction house Kornfeld, Ebi Kornfeld left his mark on the Modern art art of the 20th century like few others.It is thanks to his sustained commitment that the art of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner achieved the high status in Davos and throughout Switzerland after the Second World War that it holds today. We were privileged and fortunate to be able to do some of this work together with him.

Our condolences go to the family and also to the staff of the Kornfeld Gallery in Bern.
